Cool 1.5% Online savings account, ING $25 bonus for opening.

The Best Cyberbanks - Kiplinger.com

Hi guys

I've had a terrible experience with Bank of America, as I posted on another thread recently. Bunch of idiots.

Quote:
Sam: So, would you like me to cancel the account closure request submitted by Colton?
You: Can you answer my question first?
Sam: If the account is closed you will not be able to view it in your Online banking.
You: If the deposit hits though, it should show up in online banking?
Sam: Yes, if the deposit hits to the account with in five business days.
You: I mean, if the account closes in 5 days, but the deposit hits in 10, it'll show up again?
Sam: No, it will not show.
You: What the ****?
You: You said it opens the account again.
Sam: yes, it opens only if the deposit hits the account with in five business days.
You: ????????????? Well, I can still open it back manually?
Sam: No, if it is closed you cannot re-open the account.
Sam: If you wish to know whether the account is closed or not, you have to wait till five business days.
You: Wait, I can't open it, but SunTrust can, so you guys can keep my money, but I can't.
You: This is dumb.
Sam: I apologize for the confusion.
You: So my closed account is a perpetual blackhole if somehow I subscribed to something with it and it keeps taking my money but I can't tell it to stop taking money because you won't let me open back MY account??
Sam: As mentioned, I can cancel the request submitted by Colton.
Sam: May I know if you wish to keep the account open or close?
You: I just want to be clear. Something seems a bit unethical and illegal here.
You: KEEP IT OPEn
You: If you guys are going to be dumb like that.
Sam: So, that I can provide you the best possible solution.
You: I WANT MY MONEY AND WHY WOULD I LET YOU STEAL IT

Anyway, after years of seeing the ING commercial, I decided to take a look at it, and it turns out that Kiplinger's, a magazine that I put much esteem into, rated it very highly as an online savings account, for customer service, rates, simplicity, and security.

It seems to do no wrong. I mean, practically any place besides Bank of America has got to be better? They are doing a promotion where if you sign someone up, the new registrant gets $25 for a minimum of a $250 deposit, while the person that signs others up (me), $10.

If you send me a PM, I can send you a special link so that both of us can benefit and Bank of America can suffer
