^^^title should read: Hundreds of, not if

I took this link from another thread because I thought it deserved attention here too.

Anderson Cooper 360: Blog Archive - Video: Hundreds of Gulf-area pets homeless - CNN.com Blogs

"While the family pet may not be covered in oil, too many of them are now homeless because their owners, mainly fisherman, can no longer afford to take care of them. They are out of work and behind on bills, so now as many as 80 dogs a month are ending up in shelters, given away by their owners."

wonder if bp could be forced to set up a shelter......

but one thing i don't get ...... bp is supposedly paying claims pretty quickly, so the fishermen shouldn't be in quite such dire straits...... also, many of them are working cleaning up the spill......

oh my gosh, that breaks my heart.

There are too many poor animals in shelters that don't deserve to be there, so, so sad

Interesting earlier post if BP are supposed to be compensating

A lot of the fishermen worked for cash. Hard to prove that.
