Found it interesting last night. Everyone in town is flocking to the store to stock up on bread, milk, eggs, water, etc because the weatherman mentioned the 'S' word. So we stopped after the hockey game to stock up too. But stocking up for us is paper towels, kitty litter, bleach, etc. The dogs are impossible when it's cold or wet outside and accidents in the house are bound to happen. While we're in the check out line I look around and realized everyone else has normal snow stock piles and here we are with 'pet' stock piles!

Anything else that signals to others you have pets?

For me it's the cans and bags of pet food and of course the toys which are also a must have. It's funny how I have more dry pet food than I have people food. Maybe it's better that way...less human snacking

No matter how much you use a lint brush on your clothes you can always find a stray pet hair lingering somewhere around.

When I get the new telephone book, I take one look at it and its wrapping, and think, "oh, that's a perfect Kizzy poo bag."

Sorry. I'm sitting in my room watching football on TV, hubby's watching videos of law enforcement footage on YouTube (once a cop always a cop I guess), and I'm on the laptop watching snow fall like crazy out the front window. Very relaxing. Think I may have to go make hot chocolate!

Here's one... I spend around $50-60/week to feed my pets (1 dog, 3 cats & a large collection of snakes), but haven't been to the "human grocery store" in almost a month. Add to that, the fact that I just referred to it as a HUMAN grocery store - LOL.
