Good. Just don't let it get looking like this poor little guy, they fed him too many peanuts, and sunflower seeds. He can't even fit in his exercise wheel.

Right now she gets half a raisin since we are in the taming phase. She did find her exercise wheel. It's a Crittertrail Extreme Habitat and the wheel is on top of the cage .. so she has been working off the calories now. I love that wheel since it is quiet. No squeaking noises for hours at night.

We did have a taming break through this morning. I no longer had to chase her to get bit. She will crawl on my hand and bite me now..lol.

I have heard that hamsters bite more than rats, and that actually rats make better pets, and are easier to tame. However, I have not had either one...

I have never had a hamster that bites. I currently have one Robo and one Blackbear. I think the Blackbears have the best temperament ever.

Shes coming around to me. I can take her out of the cage and she will stay on my hands without biting. She does not bite hard... kind of a defensive "get away from me" bite. I am sure if she wanted to draw blood she could with those little sharp teeth. Only 4 days into having her and she is coming around quick to taming so we are happy. My little girl even petted Gigit while I was holding her last night. Both of them were doing good with it.

I have heard Robos are gentile breed to begin with... but the store was out of them and my girl pointed out the Russian. So we got her that one. Looks almost like a miniature grey squirrel with the markings.
