I like children, ( I work with children and have many nieces and nephews) but would not want to live with them, and I like dogs (I have doggie nieces and doggie friends) but would not like to live with them, and my tolerance for either depends greatly on their behavior/upbringing.
Cats, on the other hand, I must have in my daily home life.
I can't say I really dislike children. I have two of my own (both grown) and I love them more than anything. But on the whole, kids kind of drive me up a wall. I feel like I'm a "bad person" for feeling this way. If I didn't have dogs and cats, though, life would suck.
no kids for me...
babies are cute, and well manered children are ok to be around in small doses, but my maternal instinct only kicks in when its a critter, kids just dong tug the strings and i find myself with very little patients for children, even well behaved kids i can only take in relitivly small doses.
my pets though...i literally wouldnt be alive without them.
The option isn't up there, but I'd have to go with dogs, cats, and some children.
+1 (dogs, cats, and "some" children meaning "extremely well-behaved" children)
OP, would you be kind enough to consider adding this option to your poll?
