I thought I'd lived long enough to have seen EVERYTHING, but this is a new one on me. I suppose, though, it was only a matter of time since every other kind of pet probably has an owner somewhere who has dressed it up.

Well, maybe not boa constrictors...

Here's some well-dressed New York rats (not the sewer kind):

I don't know about NYC sewer rats, but I know my granddaughter's pet rat, MacKenzie, was a super sweet rat.

Oh, I miss my pet rat! RIP, she was such a wonderful companion. She loved Q-tips. Not sure if she would have tolerated a tutu but she would have looked awefully cute (:

Ah-ha, but you would be wrong! I belong to a forum for snake owners, and we've had a few dressed-up snakes in our photo contests... I recall a ball python wearing a Santa hat for Christmas, another wearing a top hat, and one even had a little dress. Yes, we are as crazy as mammal owners - perhaps even crazier, LOL.

Btw, I love the little harness on that white rat! Too cute, not to mention functional. I never dress up my pets, for the record, but my dog does have a few outfits for "special occasions." By that I mean Halloween, and every so often for a photo opportunity. He has a t-shirt that says "Mama's Boy," a 49ers jersey & bandana, a parka for heavy rain (he hates getting wet), and a couple of Halloween costumes he's only worn once.

This isn't the exact photo I was referring to, but here's a ball python wearing a cap: http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b6.../stylish-1.png

And here's one from my forum... it's photo-shopped, but that's the best we can do with most snakes! http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...REzZLMLCmWGqBu

I had a pet rat when I was around 14 yrs. old.

They make wonderful pets.........but they don't live long enough.....I just can't take it.

Everyone in my family cried when my Susie died.....including my Mom and Dad.

Ha, ha, Gizmo -- now I really HAVE seen everything!

Unless someone who keeps pet tarantulas posts a pic of one in a bridal costume.

I posted two links above, and I'll try to dig up the other ones... they're somewhere on that forum, just not sure exactly where.
