...because it's financially draining, emotionally wrenching, and resource taxing.....one of my volunteers has to go and make this sappy video of all the animals we saved. Crap.

PS - the Great Dane at 1:13 minutes with the pig (Lincoln) was a total nightmare. He weighed 20 lbs. more than me AND he refused to give me horsey rides.

Rescue is always exhausting in every way. But at the end of the day, it's worth it. I've had to cut WAY back since losing my job. I'm down to 19 dogs from about 35. LOL But when I crawl in bed or lay on the couch and I get covered in half a dozen happy dogs that are warm in the middle of winter and have full bellies, I know it's worth it.
