FYI - the average debt load for a vet graduating from school is now over $100,000. The average starting pay is close to $55,000. That puts their student loan payment b/w $1200-$1600/mo....on a take-home maybe of $3,500/mo. Hmmmm....

My vet in NH will usually just charge for shots. If no shots, office visit $25.

Recent trip with 2 fosters; 5 in 1 shot, rabies, fecal exam $60. although I think it was because of the fostering.

We live in Florida and just the office visit is $50.00, but if we just go to see a technician for a shot or something it is $20.00 for the visit. It's never just $50.00 or $20.00 though! lol! In the past two months (Aug-Sept) we have spent $1,000.92 at the vet! We take care of our fur babies better than we take care of our selves! lol!

Our family has three different vets that we use.

Family dogs vet $35
Sisters Ferret vet $25
And the vet I take Teddie to charges $45 for an office visit. As PBM said it's never just the walk in fee.
