i cant honestly say i can pick a "favorite"
i have a different bond withmy dogs than my cats, and then another different relationship with my birds, whihc is different yet tfrom my love of my goats, ducks geese and rabbits lol.
i love them all, equally just in a slightly different way.

but i think if i HAD to pick only one...it would be dogs.

A tie between dogs and cats. I love them both and couldn't pick a favorite.

Now if you had asked me on the day that the puppy chewed my new shoes..........

Another tie between dogs and cats. I wouldn't have thought I'd feel that way before we got our first cat, but life is better with both of them.

Cats are nice, but I prefer dogs. I just really enjoy the unconditional love, joy, and companionship dogs offer. I get the same warm greeting from my dogs whether I'm gone for a minute to get the mail, an hour, a few hours, or longer. I believe dogs are truly wonderful creatures.

I love all my animals, but could never be dog free. I am 55 and can only recall 1 year in my life without a dog. Never again!

Your poll should have allowed for two favorites. I love my dogs and cats equally.
