This Toronto couple never intended to become the real-life characters from "Charlotte's Web," but that's exactly what happened when they welcomed Esther, a 385-pound so-called "mini pig" into their family.

Steve Jenkins and Derek Walter inherited Esther, affectionately nicknamed their "wonder pig," from an acquaintance on Facebook, completely under the impression their beloved new pet was a miniature pig that would grow no larger than 70 pounds.

Wrong.

That's cool but why are they saying they are living Charlotte's Web? Is there a spider somewhere inscribing messages in a web?

Like Wilber in Charlotte's Web, Esther was in danger of being slaughtered. The owners of this pig are the spider because they saved Esther's life. They are spreading their web messages via the worldwideweb in articles, facebook, and youtube about how wonderful pigs are in an attempt to end the eating of pigs, hence the end of their being sent to slaughter.
