New York veterinarian driven to suicide after cat custody battle ruins clinic - NY Daily News

[QUOTE
“She was being harassed and vilified by various individuals, including the person who filed the complaint,” said Koshi’s lawyer John Sarcone.
Page said business at Gentle Hands, which Koshi opened last July, nosedived in the aftermath of the protest. Koshi told Page she’d exhausted her savings to keep the clinic running, and a flood last month damaged the office.

The kind of people that feed homeless cats are often mentally unstable to begin with; it's not wholly unexpected one would drive a target of their dislike to suicide through repeated harassment.

That's truly sad.

Obviously, the vet was the "owner" of the cat as she was the one to provide a home and veterinary care. Those who filed the suit had no interest in providing a home. Why didn't the woman who claimed to have fed the cat "for years" bring her home years ago?

Some people really stink.
