For those of you not in the horse world or new to it, this video is not B.S. And is certainly nothing new.

Go back to when Premarin was first put on the market for women and that is how long this horse abuse has been going on.

When I lived in SoCal, I lived ten miles from a rescue ranch that made frequent trips to Canada to rescue what Premarin mares and foals were "salvageable". By that, I mean those who stood a chance of living and living some semblance of a healthy life.

One semi load of horses, being delivered to the ranch, was all my stomach could handle. I have the greatest respect for those rescuers and the money, work, love they put into those horses.

I can't believe we are still dealing with these atrocities (the video is 2015).

Those of you reading this most likely don't have horses but, you do have dogs and cats. How would you feel if Premarin was produced from dogs and cats and marketed under a canine or feline name??

Toss the Premarin ---- find something else.

Police horse hit by car in Houston and her partner stayed with her till the end. I never thought about a police horse being hit by a car. This is sad.

Friesians are from the Netherlands. I knew they almost went extinct once but your link state's three times

The stallion in the link most likely has already had to go thru a stringent conformation/movement process to get his certification. It is called Keuring.

Schedules are set up for judges to fly to the U.S. From the Netherlands and all Friesians wanting certified must travel to the designated meet.

I have read it is a stringent process and draws a lot of sweat on the brow of the horse's owner.

It goes without saying Friesians are not cheap - more than a quality upper level dressage Warmblood.

I love to look at them but would not want to maintain one. All that gorgeous flowing mane and tail are like a house with a lot of square feet ---- waaaay too much detailed work

Oh wow, I didn't catch that 6'3" comment. The writer was speaking of Friesians in general, not the horse in the article.

And the writer is misinformed!

Geez, 18.3H is so not true but I looked it up to be sure.

A Friesian's average height is 15.2H but they can reach 17H. 17H is still a long way from 18.3 or 6'3".

Here's the Friesian Horse Association link to the height criteria. Rules & Regulations - FHANA - Friesian Horse Association of North America

It only goes to 17H but, notice their heigh preference is a lot shorter.

No matter where I Google, regarding Friesian height, all the articles say between 15.2H - 17H.
