If rabbits escape their cages, they are very prone to digging lots of holes in your (and your neighbors' yards). You will be lucky if you do not break a leg in one if that happens! They can be sweet pets, but they can also be ornery and seemingly antisocial, but I agree with Minethatbird. They can't be easily picked up comfortably due to the way their bodies are built. They require consistent good care. It is a lot to expect of a child. I had one as an adult. Big mistake. With my two dogs it was a Looney Tunes cartoon chase every.day. LOL I gave it to a rabbit breeder.

That seems more like bad dog behavior than bad rabbit behavior. I doubt the rabbit deliberately egged them on. And dogs can escape and dig holes, too.
