I sing to my pets. Sometimes, I will make up a special little silly ditty for each of them. Suffice to say, I don't sing to them in public.

I sing to them softly to Harley when she is snuggled up on my tummy. She seems to enjoy it. I also talk to both of them, they often respond with quick high meow's. When we reprimand our Cat Twinkles, she always gives that quick meow back, like she's really talking back to me. Either that or she's saying " Don't talk to me like that!"

ABSOLUTELY! I make up most of my songs. The fur babies love them.

Fat freddy, I do the EXACT SAME THING with my dogs. I talk to them all the time and they talk to me too (in doggie voices). they'll say things like (in doggie voice) mommy i want a cookie and i'll say back parker you need to eat your dinner first then you can have a cookie. okay hubby thinks i'm CRAZY!

My floofy MacAodhgáin has her own special song, to the tune of "Baby Face":

"Baby doll, you are the sweetest little baby doll ....."

(Her nickname, BTW, is "Sweetie-pie-baby-doll" )

Oh my yes, in fact my boy (who sadly left us yesterday) had his own tune, with its own melody I made up for him...he loved this song....I sang it to him daily...

"Mommy loves her little Minh man
mommy loves her little Minh man
He's the sweetest little fella in the world..."

It breaks my heart, that I have no Minh to sing to anymore.......

Now our Cleo on the other hand.....hers is to the tune of Angel Of Music from Phantom...

"Angelic kitty, Cleopatra, she is the whiskered angel......"

I must have at least four songs for each cat.....well, I used to....*sighs*

You know the name "Sweetie Pie Baby Doll" works well with

"Sugar pie, honeybunch...you know that I love you....."
