I've never seen this before. What a great way to help those who are going through such a difficult time.

My brother is a vet tech in a nearby town. They do this. I wish my vet would do so also. It's hard enough as it is saying good-bye to our furbabies without listening to other people including staff laughing in the background.

The last 2 times I have had to do this, brought dog to the animal hospital/emergency service it was late in the evening or very early in the morning. Hardly anyone around. Staff was good and very accommodating. The candle idea is nice though. I don't think people go in to vets office with intention to laugh it up.

But they don't stop to think someone is in deep pain when they go in for a skin rash, dental cleaning, or annual shots. This is a gentle reminder.

True, it is a good reminder. Hopefully they'll put it in an open yet safe area. Maybe a light on vs candle? Businesses citing fire safety issues with candles.
