Exactly . After 20+ years, it gets very, very tiring . It's a discussion I dread when I meet new people (who are, more often than not, meat-eaters).

I agree with the whole tired of people asking about why you're not eating meat thing. I don't preach, and normally don't bring it up at all that I don't eat meat, but I had to tell my family who prepares food for me. I still get the "are you still doing the not eating meat thing?" from them all the time, like it's a stage I'm going to grow out of. Annoying!
