Default Funny Things Kids Say About Pets

My BIL and his wife were visiting over the weekend and was watching me brush Max, Lord of the Shedders, as he laid on his back. His wife had commented that dogs love brushing so much that they get "excited" and manifest their excitement so visually! To that she added that when her kids were very young, one of them would be so aghast at seeing their dog display his excitement and exclaim "Oh no Mommy! Buster is showing his lipstick again!" We thought that was hilarious! I don't think I could put on my lipstick from now on without thinking about this!

Have your kids expressed something similar? If they do or did, please do share! I could use a good laugh on a Friday afternoon!

Hah! My 30ish-year old sister also came up with that years ago. She also said the cat was "playing the cello" when he was licking his bum with one leg pointing straight up.
