All dogs love cat poop.

My dog's favorite of all was cow patties. VERY high in fiber, too.

Mine totally ignores cow and horse poo ... we have to step all around it on our dirt trail walk everyday, through the range cattle area. Dog poo is worth a sniff but not all that interesting. But cat poo... she's the first one to know when someone in the house uses the litterbox. If I suddenly discover she's not in my sight, I always know she has sneaked into the bathroom to find a snack.

I think I'm going to get a baby gate on my next trip into town.

Does anyone know if the Deter can be fed to cats?

I wouldn't care so much except she leaves bits of poop and litter in a trail on the floor as she walks away chewing it up...

Movin' On --

How's the poop eating problem going? Are you getting things under control?

Cats don't eat their own poop -- that I'm aware of. But they will clean themselves, and sometimes if the aren't getting enough moisture in the diet, they may have a hard time passing stool, so that it sticks to them and later falls on the floor.

Well, I am certainly glad to know the act of an animal eating poop has a name.:-) LOL. My poodle was in the cat box every day until I put a cover on it. Distasteful as it is, no Vet every told me it would kill my dog. They did mention the dog would have "bad" breath. He did.

No, it's definitely the dog picking out the cat poop out of the litterbox (it is covered, she doesn't mind) and dropping bits on the floor as she sneaks away with it. But alas, I looked up a Deter-like product and it says to only use on dogs...
