Could someone tell me if there is a home remedy for treating worms in dogs? I read that for mites that you can massage corn oil in their ears, then clean with cotton ball and if you wash dogs with a few drops of dawn dishwashing liquid in their bath, that it kills fleas. Just wondering if there is something for worms without having to go the vet. Thanks in advance.

Crushed black walnut.

But you need to go to a vet and get the dewormer.

Black walnut is of dubious effectiveness and can cause seizures if your dog ingests a moldy one, so I would skip it and go straight to the vet.

You can always go to a Horse/Cattle feed store (if there's one in your area), and get the horse wormer that they sell there. You give about a Lima bean size to a dog if it's above 20 lbs, and a pea size to smaller.

But, you can also buy the wormer cheaper at a vets office than you can buy the horse wormer. It is normally around $5.00-$8.00 for 1 dose.

I use Ivomec for cattle for heartworm use. Can look up on net as what is used in heartguard. 1/10 cc per 10 pounds of dog but has precautions also.
I use liquid on bread and feed to dogs but is a bit expensive if just one dog but compared to heartguard when have a zoo of them it is cheaper.Just remember look it up and check out all the precautions.
