SARASOTA, Fla. (AP) - Authorities arrested two people connected to the theft of a baby skunk from a pet store. The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reported that the skunk was stolen Wednesday from Animal Crackers Pet Store. The animal was valued at $400.

Whomever the pet store was, they are either being shafted on the price, or they are shafting the customers, cause there is NO WAY a skunk should cost that much!

Why would they steal a skunk anyway? I mean they are great pets, but not worth a jail sentence, lol.

Ok, they got off easy. I read about a 14-year old boy who stole two hamsters in Moscow. he was sentenced to 3 years in a prison in Siberia---yes, during recent times, not back in the Stalin era!

Didn't say what happened to the hamsters
