We picked up our 7 week westie puppy and decided that we had the car journey home to decide his name... (otherwise we'd be changing our minds or arguing! )

We wanted something that 'went' with our name of Burns, and the only 2 famous Burnses we could think of were Rabbie Burns, the Scottish poet, or Montgomery Burns, from the Simpsons!

So, being big Simpsons fans, Monty got the vote!

And it really suits him!

Mostly its Monty, or if he's in trouble he gets his full kennel club name of Mongomery Burns!

He's here if you want to see him

Every dog has is named for a reason, there's always a story behind it.... might make a great book!

We had an orange tiger named TB for Take Him Back. I brought him home as a tiny kitten and hid him under the pillow on the sofa. When I showed my husband, he immmediately called him TB. He passed away at the young age of 6.
When I got our cat Dusty I brought him to my husbands job site so he had all day to get used to a new guy. He got loose in the house(new construction) and hid behind the furnace. By the time we got him he was covered in dust.

I have/had Rocket, Bullet, Comet (passed Jan 8, 07), Bo, Manhattan.

Comet, Rocket and Bullet grew up together and as you can tell by there names we were going with a theme. Rocket and Bullet are 14 now. Bo came along later already with a name, he is now 6. Manhattan AKA Mannie or Peanut is 1 yr and I fell in love with her walking by a window in one of my favorite cities, guess where?

Comet is the love of my life. God bless her soul.

On a 100 acre farm lol. Would you believe we've been downsizing slowly? And my Tom turkey flirts with everybody! Well, the meter reader guy is terrified of him...

I'll get some pictures in here.
