The mega ray bulb in my uro tank broke after someone (I won't name names) knocked it over. So now I have to get emergency bulbs. I am almost sure I can't get them quick enough. So I am contemplating on buying the Zilla desert 50 series fluorescent tubes that I have for some of my other reptiles like my beardies and a few torts. I really like these zillas as uvb sources for the reptiles I use them for, but I don't know if uros (since they require lots of heat n uvb) will do the same on them after coming from mega rays. The box even says I can but I just want opinion from uro owners or those with reptile knowledge in general.
I don't have a uromastyx, but I have other reptiles and some of them are on those desert series lights by Zilla. I think they're still very much underestimated. They've been doing well, to my knowledge and experience, since last year. All the ones out now are different from the ones out a few years ago. So those are fine for a uro im sure of it. They're great bulbs just as much as zoo meds or any other fluorescent uvbs.
