Default Protect your pets!

A warning for all pet owners---keep your pets indoors or safely locked up until Halloween is over. I keep my cats indoors the night before and Halloween night. Every year people do unspeakable horrors to animals on Halloween, as pranks, satanic cults, whatever.

Especially black cats, safeguard them especially. Humane societies and shelters won't even adopt out black cats the week before Halloween for that reason.

Right now my cats are driving me nuts howling to get out, but no way. The worry alone would do me in!

My cats are both asleep on the sofa. They never go out. Unfortunately, weirdos and freaks do not confine themselves to hurting innocent creatures only one night per year. Not to mention all of the stray dogs, coyotes, and clueless drivers out there who will not stop or slow down for an animal near the road.

My fur-babies are far too precious to me to risk losing.
