The two baby pygmy goats we brought home a while back have been doing great. They've recovered from their respiratory infections and have gained all their weight.

Hubby was out back playing ball with the dogs earlier and the goats had found the tortoises kiddy pool they soak in. Apparently they thought it was a fabulous toy. He said they were playing Sumo wrestler, trying to push each other out of it.

Later he was inside and heard my dog barking up a storm. Then he heard one of the goats crying. Then the other dogs started barking. He went as quick as he could, afraid something had happened to one. He found the kiddy pool upside down, bobbing around with a goat under it!

No clue how but they'd managed to get it flipped upside down and on top of one of them. Not knowing where his brother had disappeared to, the other was just crying like crazy!

Hubby 'saved' him from the pool and said they both jumped back in and started wrestling again. Funny little critters goats are!

Yeah...mini goats are nuts and a lot of fun.

They will usually hold their own against dogs. My dogs often backed-off when ours would lower their heads to butt them.

We bought them those igloo shaped doghouses for a place for them to get out of the elements. Yet you look out there and they're always standing on TOP of them in the snow or rain???

Ours like being on top of things too. Their favorite is running up and down the doors that go down to the basement. They'll run up and then slide down. I guess they like the sound of the metal under their hooves or something, but it's their favorite thing. As soon as the dogs are in the house and we open their gate it's the first place they go.

We've got one that loves to ride on one of our horse's backs...they are like best friends. I have yet to ever see exactly how it gets up there??!!

If they are in the pasture near the road, people stop and take pictures!
