Forget gazpacho. These past few weeks I have picked up several quarts of Gold's Borscht. This is not as good as Gold's Russian Borscht, which I have not seen for several years. However, I put it in the fridge, and when I come home late from work (I work night shift), I pour out half the quart into a bowl, throw it a little extra vinegar and add some garlic powder, then add a few gobs of sour cream. If you want some crackers and cheese or olives, go for it. I love it. I'm a southern Baptist and love borscht with sour cream. Go figure.

Beet soup. It can either be hot or cold. The jarred kind is cold. My grandmother used to make the best.
