i am going to be a grad student at drexel in the fall and have found a possible apartment to rent in the mantua neighborhood. any information about the neighborhood/ other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Unless this neighborhood has changed dramatically in the past 8 years I wouldn't do it .... most of the students don't spread beyond powelton village ... if you are a grad student you may want to look a little more off campus and go more to the heart of university city, center city or the art museum area ..... all would still provide great access to campus

I agree with Finger. I think it's safer south of Powelton Avenue and East of 34th Street.

I agree with south of Powelton, but most definitely south of Spring Garden unless you are seriously okay with living in a questionable area. I agree, look in University City for more options (or just a better option in my opinion).

Avoid Mantua. You could definitely find somewhere nice in University City, which is safe and full of students.
