There's an empty house in my area that I would love to find out if it is available. I did not see it on the City web site under forclosures or city owned properties. How can I find out who owns it?

Try going to brtweb.phila.gov. It's really for tax purposes, but if you type the address in, it should give you the owners names. Go to where it says BRT Property Search Service and fill in the address.

Here's the link for Delaware County:
Public Access Home Page

Click on " Real Estate & Tax Records" on the top right column.

Is it in Philadelphia?

I just checked my condo. I purchased it in 1998 and the previous owner is still listed as the owner. Huh? I pay the taxes and it has been appraised at least two times when I've reduced my mortgage. Does anyone know what I need to do to get this corrected (simply, I hope). Thanks.
