West Chester is a pretty small town. If you can try and branch out into areas like Malvern, Conshohocken,Downingtown, Radnor,Media,Plymouth meeting, even Wilmington to West Chester is a very easy commute(Wilmington is a huge fianance + banking city)

Good luck.

Hmm, the CB calculated the pop. at almost 18,000 in 2000, and I'd be willing to bet it's closer to 20,000 as of now. That's a pretty decent size.

Anyhow, getting back to the topic at hand, I completely agree with rainrock about WC's convenient proximity to other areas around Philly, especially Wilmington. Nevertheless, I found 90 results on CareerBuilder.com in West Chester alone for the field of Banking and Finance posted within the past 30 days. Look hard enough and you're bound to find something :

Its a decent sized small town but you can walk around the entire business district in less than 3 minutes. You are asking alot to think you can decide you want to live in the borough and walk to work in modest downtown West Chester, thats not likely to happen as kaymay has found out. Most of the commerce is found in the office parks littered throughout the area.
