What is the southern/eastern end of Delaware County like closer to I-95? Some parts of Chester Pike going thru Crum Lynne/Eddystone areas look a little shabby? The area seems better on the other side of I-95 and Chester Pike, is that true?

That is correct, most everything on that side of I-95 is a tad crummy, mostly because of all of the refineries and industrial sites. Woodlyn (on the other side) is a decent area.

Ridley Park, Norwood, Prospect Park are in the area that you speak of, and they are all nice areas.

Aston and Boothwyn are both nice communities - Aston a little more pricey. Both are on the West side of I95 vs. the East. It is true that the areas along the river are less attractive and more industrial. If you travel down to Route 202, just North of I95, you will be in Concordville which is also a nice area but again, could be a bit more expensive since it is in Chester County vs. Delaware County.

FYI concordville is located entirely in Delaware County, PA
Concordville is an unincorporated community in Concord Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located 20 miles west-southwest of Philadelphia, at the junction of U.S. Routes 1 and 322.
