Great info PeeAye! I didn't know all that about Ardmore! One down!

See, KOP is a last resort, as I already said in my 1st post. If nothing else feets, kop is cutting it, because it offers a lot of shopping, my job is in KOP and it is in my price range.

I looked at Wayne, I am not liking prices there, housing + tax.

Quote: "Tradeoff is it's got expensive real estate, especially if you want to be within walking distance of the downtown (and the train station)."

See, I know what I can afford and what I can't! Why bother, when you know it is out of your reach!

Again, thank you all! You have been very helpful!

You made me smile! Yes, I am a female.

West Chester downtown is very pretty. (according to the pictures on the internet)
A friend told me, that if I liked Kennet SQ, than I will fall in love with West Chester. I need to visit West Chester asap, I keep hearing so many great things about that town.

Quote: West Chester is down to Earth, and friendly. It also has the young vibrant thing going on, with lots of cool little bars and shops.

I like this quote a lot!

Given what I've read in the last few posts, yours and others, you sound like a very good case for rent for a year, and get the feel of all the towns before you buy.

European down town in PA? That's funny. KOP definitely not walkable and no downtown center. The mall, and it's horrendous traffic and that's about it. There are quaint towns that are walkable, but you will pay the taxes to live there. Think you had better take a trip to check out areas.it's the only way to understand the situation. Good luck with your search!

Maybe look at Collegeville Skippack area. There is an area called Skippack Village that would be walkable and quaint. 15 minutes to kop NOT during rush hour. However could be 45 during rush hour. Very safe. About 30 miles to Center City.

Skippack, PA is charming and walkable. I think I saw some reference to Ardmore? Ack, no! If you're looking for safe, stay away from Ardmore. I think you'd love West Chester.
