Recently I have found out that my landlord's license expired in Feb. of 2009. I started renting from him in NOv. of 2009. The reason for this discovery was because he was ignoring my service requests and so I contacted License and Inspections to put it in a complaint. While I was checking on the status of my complaint I found I found out that the property had 8 violations plus a landlord with an expired license. Also, the property would be going into sheriff sale on November 2nd and I will probably be kicked out with my one year old daughter. I spoke to someone in small claims court and they have advised on a few things. My question on here would be what can I do to postpone the sheriff sale so that I can save enough money to move out? Someone help please.
