A bunch of friends and I are going to see Jersey Boys at the Forrest Theater this month and need a place nearby for dinner afterwards. We would like something within walking distance since we are taking the train in and won't have cars and don't want to hassle with public transportation or taxis. We're doing a matinee so looking for something for an early dinner, around 5 pm, on a Sunday. Any suggestions??

Here's a few. Lolita would be my favorite. It's a BYOB but you can pick up wine around the corner at the PA Wine and Spirits on Chestnut Street near the corner of 13th. It closes at 5pm on Sundays. Have fun!

Thanks for all the great suggestions. My taste runs closest to Jones but I see they don't take reservations.

You probably won't have a problem at 5:00 at Jones. But here's another suggestion.

I'll second this suggestion. great food.
also on 13th, next to lolita, is barbuzzo. If you're looking for something more casual, zavino is on the corner.
