Daughter has apartment in Havertown and I am considering giving her a small TV for Christmas. She doesn't have or want cable. Is it possible to get decent OTA signal for the basic channels in the Mainline area? Thanks!

I take it that OTA means over the airwaves? If yes, You would need to acquire a digital converter that converts the digital signal now in use by the TV stations. www.dtv.gov/

Thanks, Don57, for your reply. Yes, OTA = Over the Air and the newer TVs have the digital capability to decode. Obviously, daughter would have to have an Antenna and but I am looking just to get her by for the short term. I know most people now a days use either cable or dish but she is a grad student and not much money for that stuff.
