Philadelphia Among Top 5 Cities for Job Openings in 2011
Just thought I'd share some data that I saw on the City vs. City forum posted in regards to a CareerBliss.com survey. Philadelphia is ranked number 5 in terms of job openings for this year based on 2010 trends, with a projected total of 457,918 job openings.
This is particularly interesting data when considering huge differences in population from cities like Los Angeles, which is projected to have less than 100,000 more job openings than Philly and comparably populated cities like Phoenix or Dallas, which are both projected to have far fewer job openings than Philly. If the data are accurate, this will demonstrate a pretty remarkable economic recovery:
