Before it's all finished there will be yet another expansion approved. That airport is always just trying to catch up.

Air Travel is totally overtaxed.

Apparently expansion is because the runways are too short.

Actually they (two runways) are too close together for maximum safety so they can't both be used at the same time during some conditions. That's why they want to demolish the UPS complex and build a runway over there. What you may have heard is that the "new" commuter plane runway is too short for use by big planes although it was never intended to be.
