Welcoming all advice.....

We are presently planning a move from Media, PA to ????

We're looking for a very family friendly place to live... We'd love to live in a neighborhood full of young families... the more kids running around the better...

We're looking for a newer home, 3+ bedrooms, prefer detached with a yard. Price max would be about $350,000....

We're looking for a reputable school district as well...

Please feel free to share any opinions you may have...

Thanks in advance for your help

Do you need to be in a certain proximity from a job? If so please let us know where you work and how far you want to be.

Not really. We're not so worried about commute as we are school quality, affordability, and family friendly neighborhood. My husband and I both work 3 days a week so commute is a minor factor as compared to the other points mentioned.

Thank you for your suggestions!

Default Chester County

Let me chime in with another area in Chester County. You mentioned Phoenixville. You might also take a look a look at Downingtown. The schools are well regarded and there is a good bit of housing stock in your price range.

Glenside is cool, but your wish list is kinda broad.

In rank order:
Downingtown SD
West Chester SD
Phoenixville SD
Perkiomen SD

Lots of young families in all of these areas esp Collegeville but there is definitely a sticks/lower middle class element in P-ville and Collegeville. Collegeville is also way out there IMO making it my least favorite and don't forget both are in close enough proximity to the Limerick nuclear power plant that the schools have evacuation plans and iodine pills on hand - I found this a tad unsettling.
