Default Old City

Just looking for opinions from those from the area on whether Old City would be a nice place for a young couple to live. I have absolutely no knowledge of the area - just asking based on a recent weekend trip my husband and I made. We stayed at a hotel at Penn's Landing, walked around Old City, went to the Zoo, had dinner at a restaurant on 2nd that had patio seating, etc.

old city is a great area, first friday of every month they have all the art galleries open late and specials at alot of restaurants. it's a very good location and the hottest spot in philly, center city, besides Northern liberties. It's not cheap to live down there though, rents and home prices are high. [cut]
