Who makes the Best Hoagie and Cheese Steak in Phila.?
Yes indeed!
We live in the Cheese Steak and Hoagies capital of the world.
Suggestion: If you go to your favorite shop and you kindly ask for some Prosciutto on your Hoagie and they don't have it,, Leave the Store immediately! LOL!!
Here are my top choices.
Cheese Steak
1. Phil and Jims (Parkeside, PA)
2. Leo's (Sharon Hill)
3. Pat's (So. Philly)
Hoagie
1.Diconstanza (ChiChester, PA)
2. Phil and Jims (Parkeside, PA)
3. Slacks Hoagies (Phlly)

If you're talking about Ch**nks, that word was blocked out because that's a derogatory term.

Actually that was the guy's name that owned and operated the steak shop for many years. He ran it when my parents were in their early teens and dating. The shop was never given the name for any other reason than to be named after himself.

First, why don't you start a new thread?
Second, the major newspapers would be the Philadelphia Inquirer or the Philadelphia Daily News.
There are local newspapers in that area: You will find them if you click on this link.
