It may be hard to presume what neighborhood or state one comes from just by their dress. Nonetheless, one could observe the anecdotal evidence at PATCO stations on Friday and Saturday nights that plenty of 20somethings come over from Jersey to Philly to party.

As a reminder from the Terms of Service:

Hate speech, racism or bashing of ANY sort will NOT be tolerated. Rude posts will be removed and infractions issued. Do not quote or talk to trolls or your posts will also be deleted. Use the report feature instead.

This would include stereotypes of suburban and city residents of various ethnicities that have been posted and subsequently altered in this thread. It is possible to get one's point across without resorting to broad stereotypes.

Nope.. Def never hung out there on any night. Maybe there with my family and I don't know any NJ people here who frequent that area.. ever. Pretty bold to assume that someone is living at a certain area just by looking at em. Plain old incorrect. Can I tell if any Bridesburg guys are over here in Jersey? Of course not, everyone looks the same..

How about me Kev, Philly for 25 + years and now in NJ. My clothes are the same as is everything about me..

By the time Old City started taking off as a nightspot, you may have already cross the river. I would be surprised if any 20somethings you might know don't come to Old City on occasional weekend nights.

Bringing this back closer to topic, people not only party in Old City but they live there. The relatively high rents and housing values would seem to make this one of the first places many people would want to live in Philly. Of course, dense apartment and condo living with convenient (and noisy) nightlife isn't for everyone.

I don't know anybody who goes to Old City. Perhaps Frank really doesn't either!
