Currently relocated to King of Prussia from Pittsburgh for husband's job and his office is moving to an area right over the Delaware border.

We want to live in Pa but know nothing about West Chester and Media and most importantly the commute from either to Northern Delaware. Advice needed!!!
Thanks!

Both are great areas. Media is in the Rose Tree Media school district which is excellent, west chester is in the west chester area school district which is excellent as well but very large. The commute from either town there is a lot of traffic, west chester is a more direct commute and probably quicker. both are very similar, they have great downtowns, great neighborhoods surrounding them ranging from historic homes to new construction, both are pricy, but relative to one another, close to malls, food stores, and bix box retail. If you post some more about the specifics you want in a house or town i could help you out some more.

Both areas are very livable and it would be hard to go wrong with either choice. Both West Chester and media are charming Main Street USA type towns surrounded by upscale suburbia. I personally like the town of WC a bit better but many others prefer Media.

The commute would be much easier from the West Chester area, a straight shot on Rt 202 compared to the tedious hilly ride on RT 1 that would connect you from Media to De. line..

Or you could choose to live in one of the towns between Media-West Chester like Westtown,Glen Mills,Middletown Township,Concord Township,Thornbury etc te.

Good luck.
