1. Take the AirTrain from JFK Airport to the subway, then

2. Take the A (or E) subway train to 34th st Penn Station, then

3. Take Amtrak train from Penn Station to Philadelphia 30th St. Station,
OR (cheaper, slower) take NJ Transit train to Trenton NJ, then transfer to SEPTA train to central Philadelphia,
OR (cheaper, but a bus) take Megabus or Boltbus to Philadelphia.

After a long flight, I am sure you don't want to go through all of that hassle. You would be best off contacting:

Dave's Best Limousine Services - Philadelphia Airport Shuttle and Van, JFK Airport Shuttle and Van, Newark Airport Shuttles and Vans. New York Limo. NY Airport Van Service. NY Pier Transportation, NY limo, NJ limo, PA limo, Phila limos, Bucks limos,

They will pick you up and drop you off.

For about $15 one way, you can take a Shuttle directly from JFK to Penn Station with New York Airport Service Transportation - JFK- LGA- Manhattan and then take the Amtrak train direct to Philly 30th Street Station ($50 regular train - $90 Luxury Train (ACELA)) - www.amtrak.com. Direct JFK - Philly shuttle service is much more infrequent - and likely not much less expensive.

Private limo sounds really nice but I couldn't find any information about how much it'd cost to drop me off to Philly. If I must give $15 for shuttle then $50 for the train then I can give another $20 and use the lime service.

The easiest way would be to get a connecting flight to Philadelphia. anything else will entail taking ground transportation to downtown New York, and taking a train from there, and that will probably take about 3 hours total.

True, getting from JFK to Manhattan is the pits via any mode of transportation (except maybe private helicopter). Might as well fly into to Philly - getting from Philadelphia Airport into the city is a breeze.

The way I posted was basically the cheapest way, but also the biggest pain. I would probably do it because I am a cheapskate and a glutton for punishment.
