Instead of having the casinos all spread out around town, I'd rather see them all lining Delaware Ave. It'd add a strong waterfront presence that the city desperately needs (our waterfront's ugly right now), it'd increase tourism, and it'd keep any casino related side effects constrained to a relatively small area.

I agree... put all the casinos in one place. Also, with the Canal Street entertainment district being built by Samschick.. it would be awesome to have several entertainment and nightlife destinations within the city all in one location..

Plus, a city run Casino has BAD idea written all over it.

That article describes the process of how the initial mock-up was disliked by the the Commission's Architectural Committee, who recommended denial based on the first presentation. They had to work to both change things and better present the project in order to gain approval. Nice to see the Historical Commission actually doing their job!
