We are Rittenhouse residents looking for more space and an easier commute to my husband's job in Wynnewood / Ardmore area. Our priority is a big lot - at least 1 acre, but preferably more like 2 or 3. We love the wooded feel of Penn Valley, but want to expand our search.

Any suggestions for areas that are convenient to CC and Wynnewood, but you can't see in your next door neighbor's windows?

Thanks!

All are closer to Wynnewood, but not convenient to CC.

Someone who wants "2 or 3 acres" is going to have to fork over a lot of coin in the western suburbs. Even a "surgeon at Lankenau" may not be able to afford an estate that large on the Eastern Main Line, particularly since the largest lots are located in the most-sought-after places, like Villanova and Gladwyne. If they're prepared to pay well over $2mm, then Gladwyne/Villanova/Haverford/Rosemont are the obvious choices.

Newtown Square and Media are far from cheap, but may be more in reach for someone with a budget closer to $1mm.
