According to 6abc.com and philly.com, you would never know the Phillies had a 1pm game today against the Mets and lost 7-4. No mention of the game on either site as if they didn't play at all this afternoon. Philly.com, and CBS3.com actually has the 9-4 Phillies still posted from lasted night. So I get it now, these websites are only updated for sports when the phillies win. Fox29.com doesn't have the final score posted on their site either.

NBC10 was the only site to mention that the phillies lost this afternoon. This city's media is a joke.

Obviously your a Mets fan, but we'll let that slide. No one is perfect. However what advantage is it to media to report negative/bad news to their audience, especially in sports? Do you think most Phillies fans want to read about their team losing? There's no incentive for the local media to publish that.

Most local sites are simply slow to update to breaking sports stories. It's not a Philly thing or a losing/winning thing. Philly.com's top sports headline right now is "Mets beat Phillies to avoid sweep". I'm sure the TV stations covered the loss on TV even if they haven't gotten around to putting it on their site yet. This is not the issue you think it is.

So you only report PLEASANT NEWS? Regardless if they lost or not it's still NEWS and it was news that most sites obviously decided not to share.

Philly media should be pretty used to the teams losing if they've been around for the past 25 years. They're still not sure how to handle a team like the Phillies have lately become.

I'm sure if they had won, PHILLIES COMPLETE SWEEP OF METS would have been posted on all of those sites

Mets fans should be used to the Mets losing and being disrespected by now. Why so sore?
