Hi,
I will be working for the Community College of Philadelphia next year as an Associate Professor. I would like to know in what area the college is located at? What kind of area is it? Good, bad? Also, where would you recommend me to live? I am a single woman in my early thirties. I am social, I love urban areas, terrace cafes and restaurants, etc...
Thank You!

CCP is at the northern edge of Center City, some people would call the area Spring Garden. You might try living in Fairmount (sometimes called the Art Museum area), which would leave you within an easy walk to work or Northern Liberties, which would be an easy public transit commute. Depends of course on your budget.

Will you be at the center city campus? If so, the art museum area is a good idea. Also, Rittenhouse Square. It's nice walk from there, or you can take one bus.
