I was creating a data base for people who want to know about how crime in Philly plays out. Someone from far away may not have a clue on where to get an up to date crime reading.

Yes but you posting every single thing is kind of redundant... don't you think? Shall I start posting every single event that occurs in South Jersey?

You are free to if you like, but remember South Jersey is a large area with many, many towns. You should zero in on one area.. It may be more beneficial. Posting Delaware valley crime stats would be like posting South jersey stats, it would be useless to most cause its a large area run by many different local governments and police departments

I'm just saying, someone getting shot in North Philadelphia is kind-of redundant. An event like a girl getting pushed onto subway tracks warrants more conversation piece.

I know.. But I don't want to leave out any bad crime. I know North Philly is where most happens

And that's understandable, but it's like Camden. WE get it, bad things are going to happen. Now if a bad thing happens in another part of the city it's more surprising and warrants more conversation.

But there are good people who live in North Philly and I'm sure they think its important.. Camden is a lost cause.. I'm not trying to make anyone 'get it'. I'm trying to help others who want to get a flavor on where to go if they are looking at Philly.

Camden is not a lost cause... it will see it's shine one day. As you saw, someone took a poll, not one person who participates on this forum lives in or identifies with North Philadelphia. I'm sure some people live in the lower portions of North Philadelphia surrounding Center City, but they don't identify as North Philadelphia. If something happens there, it warrants more convo. However, none of us live in North Philadelphia, there for it is kind of irrelevant to us. As much as I would like to see the crime reduced and North Philadelphia redeveloped and made nicer, it's not right now, and posting every shooting is irrelevant, because none of us have any connection or interaction with the area (specifically the area around Strawberry Mansion and Tioga, etc). Something happening close to Temple or in NoLibs or Fairmount or something is more relevant to us on the forum. No one has any business with Camden on this forum, therefor news about it is kind of irrelevant. See my point? It's like posting crime that happens in Miami, it's kind of pointless.

I don't think its fair to assume that no one here lives in North Philly.
