Default Late night transportation - Philadephia to South Jersey

Are there any options beyond a $70 cab ride to get back to South Jersey from Philadelphia in the wee hours on the weekdays or weekends? PATCO and SEPTA seem to shut down at midnight and don't resume service 6AM. I would like to find a way to not get stuck sleeping on a park bench till 6AM waiting for public trans to resume operations that doesn't involve bringing my vehicle in to the city should I want to dabble in some nightlife. I will not drink and drive under and circumstance, so I was hoping someone might know of some alternative transportation options.

I would be very disappointed to hear there is no way to get back to NJ without driving drunk. That's a pretty silly situation there if that's the case.

I will review the timetables on the website. This app I have on my phone is apparently garbage.

Thank you all for your quick replies to this one - it made no sense that there wasn't something running overnight. This goes to show that you have to be careful what you download these days...not sure how good the quality really is sometimes.

In case your destination isn't right on the PATCO line, there are a few NJ Transit buses that run 24/7. The #551 runs from Philadelphia to Atlantic City (http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0551.pdf), the #554 connects with PATCO at Lindenwold and runs to Atlantic City (http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0554.pdf). At Atlantic City, you can connect with the #553 to Upper Deerfield if you live in that general direction (http://www.njtransit.com/pdf/bus/T0553.pdf)

Go to njtransit.com and check their Trip Planner to see if you can get home late at night.
