Default Place to live between Downington, PA & Delran, NJ

I just got a job in Delran, NJ and my wife has an employment opportunity (full-time) in Downingtown, PA. We currently live/rent in Palmyra, NJ however the commute will be too long for my wife.

She is looking at a max 40 min commute while I do not want longer than a 30 min commute.

Can anyone suggest some nice/safe neighborhoods with available rent/housing in PA that can achieve this type of balanced commute? Obviously we could look at some lower-end places, but we wont consider them for obvious reasons.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't know if a 40/30 minute commute split is even possible given general rush hour traffic conditions. The best you can probably do is somewhere near 276. Maybe the Fort Washington area?

Wouldn't Abington to Delran be close to an hour in rush hour traffic? 611/73 can get pretty backed up on the PA side.

Edit: I've been playing around with google maps a bit, and I think somewhere around the Elkins Park/Cheltenham corridor could work--close to 309/276 without being terribly far from the Tacony-Palmyra bridge. Keep in mind, you and your wife would be 10 minutes over your respective ideal commutes (50 minutes for her, 40 minutes for you).

I'm assuming the eastern limits toward Rockledge? I suppose that works if his wife can handle an hour-plus commute into Downingtown.

Just take into account that all the highways around Downingtown become parking lots every work day
