Default Jenkintown-Abington area?

I am getting ready to move to Rydal, 19046 in Abington Township. Some automated things, like Angie's list for example or my credit cards are telling me I live in a place called foxcroft Square when I use 19046 zip and it can't be over-ridden. At the Jenkintown Post office they say they have a branch called Foxcroft Square but it shouldn't be used as an address. Have any locals in 19046 delt with this problem?

my co worker has the same issue since he moved to Rydal 4 years ago too. He's in Rydal but his zip says Jenkintown. Its no big deal. I have the same issue in jersey. My zip says Riverton but I live in Cinnaminson. He just uses Rydal in his official addres and its never been a problem. So you are soon gonna be a suburbanite huh? Good for you.. Hes near Susquehanna and Huntingdon pike.

I understand about Rydal V Jenkintown . Both places are legitimate address's and can be used interchangably. The problem is with Foxcroft Square. There is no neighborhood with that name yet these computerized sites want to assign it to 19046. If I buy something on Amazon with that zip they want to send the pkg to "Foxcroft Square" and there is no such place. (I will be walking distance from the Rydal train station)

Supposedly Foxcroft Square (along with Hollywood, Meadowbrook, Rockledge, and Rydal) are acceptable alternativesModerator cut: link removed, linking to competitor sites is not allowed unless the USPS recently changed their policies with respect to that zip code.

That's good to know, thanks. Now I just want to know how, why and when. And don't forget Jenkintown, which has owned the zip since they were invented is included.
