Your original post, along with just about every other one, with their spirited usage of emoticons and expletives, is pretty indicative of complaining.

This isnt an "attack" on people from the suburbs trying to "identify" with Philly, it actually has nothing to do with you at all. What the hell are you people reading? Chill the **** out.
You confuse "getting your panties in a bunch" with calm disagreement. Maybe if your posts were a little more coherent, people would be less prone to misunderstanding them.

Here's one for you - I have a friend where I grew up (in Scranton area) who calls me her friend in "Philly"...mind you, I live in Pottstown about an hour from city limits. I can understand if this person was from the west coast and was saying "Philly" as a frame of reference, but this person is from Eastern PA as well!!!

Lol can you show me exactly where I complained about anything? You wont be able to. I shared something I found comical..nothing more, nothing less. You cant speak for "People" when clearly you're in the minority as everyone else understood what the point of this thread was. I cant and wont attempt to control your comprehension skills or lack there of, thats really not my problem. I gave specific examples as to what I was talking about. Idiots will be idiots I guess? Get your thong out of your @ss and move on, it was never that serious kid.

PS. Clearly you arent from Philly.

Lol exactly! I guess it's just a testament to Philly's influence or relevancy? or people are just lazy and dont really give a **** about whats outside of Philly and just throw it in with Philly because thats all they know or care about.

I guess you missed the part where I said I was from LM. I also go to an Ivy League Law School. What have you done with your tiny pink life?

LOL! Exhibit A: Why Philadelphians loove Penn students.

(Full disclosure: I also went to professional school at Penn...but I don't brag about it. Especially not in Philly!)

Many people think NYC is its own state too.

I generally don't brag either, but on the rare occasion someone does attack my intelligence, it's a salient counterpoint. The real reason some Philly firms are wary of Penn students is because a lot of them use them as a stepping-stone and jump ship to New York after a few years. I have no desire to be in NYC and have the ties to back up my answer to the inevitable "Why Philly?" question. I'll hear the occasional snide remark at mixed networking events, but by and large, Morgan, Dechert, Pepper, et al, are very favorable to us when we show a genuine interest.

No I caught that part. And you're just as pathetic as your "Salient counterpoint." I've actually just taken an executive position with Scholastic Publishing. You can google Scholastic Publishing if you'd like...
